A webinar titled “Insight into CBDC (Competency-Based Dynamic Curriculum)” was successfully conducted on 17th January 2026 as part of the 25th Year Celebration of the Institute. The program was organized in the form of a Faculty Development Program (FDP) and was attended by faculty members of the institute.
The session was delivered by Dr. Chirag Shah, Principal, Sumandeep Homeopathic Medical College, Vadodara, who provided valuable insights into the concept, structure, and implementation of the Competency-Based Dynamic Curriculum (CBDC). The speaker elaborated on outcome-based education, faculty roles, student-centric learning, and curriculum adaptability in alignment with modern medical education standards.
The webinar commenced with a welcome address by the Principal, Dr. J. R. Rao, who warmly welcomed the speaker and participants and highlighted the importance of curriculum reforms and faculty orientation programs in enhancing academic quality.
The session was highly interactive, with an engaging question-and-answer segment, where faculty members like Dr. J.J. Jain, Dr. Meena Kalra, Dr. Tushar Dhimmer and others actively participated, shared their perspectives, and sought clarifications regarding CBDC implementation in homeopathic medical education. Dr. Chirag Shah addressed the queries effectively, making the session informative and practical. Honorary chief executive director of the college, Dr. Ajay Desai remained present in the session.
The webinar concluded with positive feedback from the participants, who found the session insightful and beneficial for academic planning and teaching-learning strategies. The program contributed meaningfully to faculty development and aligned well with the objectives of the institute’s silver jubilee celebrations. Dr. Bhavin Modi in the vote of thanks expressed his sincere gratitude on behalf of the college to the speaker, committee members, faculty, and participants for their valuable presence, cooperation, and support, which contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
