The Department of Physiology and Biochemistry of C.N. Kothari Homoeopathic Medical College & Research Centre, Vyara, organized a departmental activity on the demonstration of different types of gait as part of the CBDC curriculum, NCH.
The activity was designed to enhance students’ practical knowledge of normal and abnormal gait patterns and their clinical significance.
Students were divided into four groups. Each group participated in demonstrating various abnormal gait patterns and explaining their clinical significance.
The following gait patterns were demonstrated:
Circumduction gait, Scissor gait,
Propulsive or short-shuffling gait, High-steppage gait, Drunken-man’s gait and
Waddling gait.
Through these demonstrations, students observed the characteristic movements and postural changes associated with each gait pattern. The participating groups were evaluated based on their demonstrations and understanding of the gait patterns.
First Position was secured by
Group 4,
Second Position by Group 2 and
Third by Group 3.
Students were awared with certificates according to their position and rest of the students were awarded with certificate of Participation.
