As part of the Vikas Saptah Celebration, in accordance with VNSGU Circular No. NSS/20958/2026 dated 07/09/2026, C. N. Kothari Homoeopathic Medical College & Research Centre, Vyara, conducted a series of educational, healthcare, community service, cleanliness, research, and safety-related activities during September 2026.
Date-wise Activities
17 September 2026 – Blood Donation Camp
A Blood Donation Camp was organized at C. N. Kothari College from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to promote voluntary blood donation and awareness regarding its importance. A total of 25 voluntary blood donors participated. The camp included donor registration, medical screening, blood collection, and post-donation care. The camp was conducted by Dr. Monika Patel and her team.
18 September 2026 – Research Awareness / Scientific Paper Presentation
Dr. Bhavin Modi participated in the Young Researchers Conference 3.0 organized by the Research & Development Cell of VNSGU, Surat. He presented a scientific paper on “Homoeopathic Approach in the Treatment of Warts,” promoting research awareness and academic exchange.
19 September 2026 – Swachhta Abhiyan
A cleanliness drive was conducted at the College Campus with active participation of students. The activity focused on cleanliness, hygiene, proper waste disposal, and maintaining a clean and healthy campus environment. The programme was conducted by co-curriculum Committee member Dr.Divya H. gamit.
20 September 2026 – Free Homoeopathic Health Camp and Kit Distribution
A community health camp was organized at opposite Primary School, Singhi, Vyara, in memory of Late Shri Jagdishbhai Shah. Free Homoeopathic medicines, physiotherapy advice, naturopathy consultation, health and lifestyle counselling, sickle cell awareness, blood donation activity, and nutrition kit distribution were conducted. The programme was organized by Camp committee head Dr. Dixita Upadhyay and her team.
22 September 2026 – Biomedical Waste Management Awareness Programme
An awareness programme was conducted for 1st Year BHMS students at Classroom No. 5. The session covered biomedical waste segregation, colour coding, safe handling and disposal, sharps safety, PPE, hand hygiene, and prevention of infection and occupational hazards. Practical demonstrations were also provided by Dr. Monika Patel.
28 September 2026 – CPR Training Programme
A CPR training programme was conducted for 1st and 2nd BHMS students in the Seminar Hall. The session included recognition of cardiac arrest, basic CPR steps, chest compressions, rescue breathing, emergency response, and AED awareness. Practical demonstrations using CPR mannequins provided students with hands-on exposure to this essential lifesaving skill. The training was conducted by Dr. Monika Patel.
29 September 2026 – Nutritional Awareness Programme and Kit Distribution
A nutritional awareness programme was conducted at Tadkuva Primary School. Students and staff were educated about healthy dietary practices and the importance of proper nutrition for physical and mental well-being. Nutritional kits were subsequently distributed. The programme was served by Camp committee member Dr. Sona Shah.
30 September 2026 – Fire Safety Training Programme
A Fire Safety Training Programme was conducted at the College Campus for students and staff. The programme focused on fire prevention, identification of fire hazards, emergency preparedness, safe evacuation, emergency response, and awareness regarding the appropriate use of fire-fighting equipment. The training was conducted by Mr. Harish Shaikh.
The Vikas Saptah 2026 activities successfully brought together healthcare, research, cleanliness, nutrition, environmental responsibility, community service, and emergency safety awareness. The programmes provided meaningful learning and service opportunities for students and staff while extending healthcare and awareness initiatives to the community.
The activities were conducted under the guidance of Dr. Jyoti Rao, Principal, with active participation of Dr.Dixita Upadhyay & Dr.Divya Gamit and cooperation from faculty members, students, staff, volunteers, and community members.
